Walz Tetrick Seeks Broadcast Media Buyer

We are seeking candidates who will be responsible for the development and execution of traditional broadcast media (radio and TV) buying for our clients. The ideal candidate will be the primary point of contact between media partners, our clients and our internal account management teams to satisfy our clients' media advertising needs.

Candidates should be well-versed in the strategies and technology behind media buying. As the Broadcast Media Buyer, your responsibilities will focus on helping our clients generate awareness through traditional media buys.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan Development – develop monthly, quarterly and annual media plans and make recommendations which are consistent with the client's strategy and budgets
  • Media buying – revisions, cancellations, moving spots, minor changes to reach/frequency, developing buying estimates and placing schedules
  • Deliver the most effective costs, anticipating the target audience and deliver ads accurately
  • Update all current on-air schedules to ensure station delivery within negotiated agreement terms and/or to respond to any make-goods, new problems or opportunities that may arise
  • Coordinate billing process, gathering of pre/post log times and continuous follow-up with vendors to ensure flawless airing of schedules
  • Communicate with internal teams to ensure timelines and material deadlines
  • Identify network trends, in both directions, and suggest ideas for improving campaigns as a result of changing trends
  • Attend meetings with media partners and clients

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years buying experience in top 50 markets
  • Buying experience with spot television, cable and radio
  • College degree in marketing/communication/advertising or relevant work experience
  • Able to negotiate and place broadcast buys based on client approved media plans
  • Ability to analyze performance and traffic reports and make recommended changes based on results
